2nd castle

Hi all,

I've just obtained a second castle (yes quite late I know) and I don't really know what to do with it. Seems like I'm restarting the whole freakin' game again, building everything almost from scratch, finding new heroes, getting an army together etc.
Is this just the way it is or are there any tips and tricks I need to know about?

Second castle should not be right beside your first. That way you can use it as a second "launch" base. You can also put it beside a friend so you two can coop.

Also research the foresting, mining, refining and polishing quickly. That way you get the static bonus (wood and ore 20, sulfur and crystal 10) every hour on your second castle too.

Also look at the hero research if there are any spells that can compliment your hero.

Keep in mind that you can lose this second castle.

If I look at the comments above, I did everything wrong. I did get one right next door, hardly looked at resources etc. But hey I've got a lot to learn. I'll think about this when getting my third castle.

I didnt say i did it right. I did the same as you. I learned the hard way.

If you make one of your heroes castellan for the 2nd castle, do his equipped spells affect the 2nd castle (like % gold increase)

I'm not sure, I did make one of the heroes castellan for my 2nd castle but I've no clue if the spells still work. I guess so actually.

Anybody have the real answer?

I just tried that, and YES I believe that the skills still work. I just equipped one of my hero with skills from first castle, sent him to 2nd castle and made him castellan & it looks like the skills do work! (i tried the increase resources & gold skill)

Yeah, you can do a little castellan exchange program so (for example) your undead castellan knows resource control (+3% non-gold production per a level) and your elf castellan knows Intensive training (-2% recruitment time).

Don't bother duplicating skills across factions, like the +3% gold one. That castle will only be affected by either the newest copy on the castellan, or the lowest level one. So just pick which one you want to use.
